Increase your water intake: Our skin contains nearly 12% water. Retaining this percentage along with sufficient quantity of good fat, is necessary to prevent the acne. You should aim to consume nearly 2 quarts of distilled water daily. If your water intake is less than this amount, you should increase the quantity that you drink.

Drinking water is essential for eliminating the toxins in the blood.
It leads to more urination, resulting in excretion of more toxins. This cleans your blood and leads to better health of the skin. It will eliminate the problem of acne.

Buy distilled or reverse osmosis water in glass containers. Do not use plastic containers for water due to presence of residue of harmful chemicals on the container walls left behind while manufacturing. They can leach out into the water.

Consumption of fresh juices will also fulfill your water needs. However do not count sodas, colas, alcohol and beverages like tea and coffee in your water intake as they are dehydrating.

Follow these tips that will help you increase your water intake or making water healthier. Take either a 16 or 32 oz glass container and fill it with water. Then add either of the following:

A few drops of Alkalife will alter the pH of the water from 7 to 8. It charges the water with sodium and potassium electrolytes.

Add the juice of one lemon to the water. Avoid adding sugar but honey will do.

Add the juice of one lemon and up to a teaspoon of powdered MSM to the water. MSM is very beneficial for the skin problems like acne. It improves the flexibility of the skin cells, assisting flow of nutrients in and out of the cells and is anti-inflammatory. It is also suitable for stimulating peristaltic action and preventing constipation.

Dissolve 2 oz of mangosteen in the water. Mangosteen is an excellent total body tonic. It is beneficial for all parts of the body, improving your regularity.

Adding a nutritional flavor of your choice will increase the nutritional value.

Select either of these natural additives for your water and consume this modified water in little sips throughout the day. This is one of the things you can do to eliminate acne, enhance or retain skin texture.

Enjoy some sunshine: Another good remedy for your skin is to allow it to be exposed to natural sunlight.

Let your face bask in lot of sun and air. This speeds up the healing of your skin. However do not go directly in the sun but stand under the trees or in the windows to enjoy plenty of sun and air.

Remain outdoors in the sunlight for minimum of 20-40 minutes daily to get your daily dose of vitamin D.
